If you’re here, you probably already know I write books. So, here’s some other stuff you might not know about me.
I was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (in Canada) and lived there until I was 18. But since then I’ve lived in Regina, Vancouver, Toronto, Pitlochry (that’s in Scotland), Brighton (in England), and most recently in Guelph. I like new places.
I don’t move around much any more, since I started a family. I have three young kids, all awesome, all crazy. I'm a stay-at-home dad, so my kids take up most of the hours of my day. Some day I’ll write stories for them. Right now I write stories in spite of them.
On my own time (ha!) I like other people’s books, video games, hikes, and coffee.
I finished my first novel when I was twenty. And it was awful. Luckily, I wrote another one, and then another one, and eventually I wrote something good. Now the plan is to keep writing good things—maybe even things that are better than good. Fingers crossed.
