Malcolm Gravenhurst is the latest in a long line of Guardians, super-powered protectors who keep the robotic klek from destroying the city of Porthaven. Only his family has the powers needed to defeat the klek—or so he's been taught. But when he finds others with powers, working in secret and in fear of the Gravenhursts, Malcolm will have to grapple with the true legacy of his family.
